In honor of National Egg Month, WIC is highlighting the many amazing benefits that eggs have to offer! Eggs have the highest-quality of protein found in any food second only to mother’s breast milk. Eggs also have an incredible amount of vitamins and minerals (such as A, D, B-12 and iron) and many other nutrients for only 70 calories a piece! Eggs play a very important role in growth and health for both women and children. This versatile food is very affordable and can be used for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is why WIC is happy to offer eggs as part of our food package!
